David Choe was just a typical graffiti artist with a colorful past when a New York Times reporter got a hold of his name and published a story about his sudden wealth. He realized things were getting weird when he got a text from a woman he hadn't spoken with in 5 years offering him oral sex everyday for the rest of his life for $2 million.
Back in 2005, Choe was commissioned to paint a mural for Facebook. He was offered $60,000 or stock. He went with the stock and the gamble paid off. Now the stock is worth $200 million.
Choe doesn't know what he'll do with all that cash but he hopes to somehow make a difference in the world. He would however like his privacy back, but says not to feel sorry for him since it's a ton of money. Not bad for a guy who has spent time in jail. Broke artist no more.
